Cottages Tatra
At the foot of the High Tatras mountains, set in Tatranský Lieskovec at an altitude of 950 meters, Tatra cottages are an ideal starting point for the most interesting Slovak mountain ranges, High, Low and Western Tatras as well as Slovak Paradise.
Two houses, one next to the other, offer 6+8 double - twin rooms, that come with a private bathroom fitted with a shower (in total 32 beds; in some rooms, 3rd bed is available).
A meadow with a fireplace located between the houses, is an attractive place for groups and families with children. Tatra cottages feature a barbecue and sauna. Guest room with traditional fireplace,
A quiet place in the forest and the surrounding environment of the house ensure you an ideal relax. The guest room for 28-30 people is ideal for various workshops, games, socializing or family meetings.
You can observe forest animals in the neighbourhood of the house, such as birds, squirrels or roe deer. There are cross-country-ski tracks in winter. The nearest skiing station is Štrbské Pleso (accessible by car and by cog railway). In summer, the houses are ideally located for trekking/hiking and MTB in the High Tatras NP.
10 minutes’ walk to the cog railway stop that brings you in few minutes to the skiing and cross-country-skiing centre Štrbské Pleso (1350 m). 20 minutes’ walk, there is Štrba railway station that links Tatranská Štrba with Bratislava. Access to the houses is simple (700 m from the main road), and parking is available for approx.10 cars.
You can connect to Wi-Fi at any time free of charge, but do not search for a television in the houses.
We accommodate until 9pm. It is possible to accommodate our guests till 10pm in pre-announced cases at an additional cost.
The owners are tourist and mountain guides who speak English, German, Spanish and Italian. Their advice is free of charge.
